MetroPCS provides Push-to-Talk (PTT) to any phone
Up to Handset Design
MetroPCs has just launched a new push-to-talk (PTT) service that allows any phone to receive an incoming PTT call and then function like a PTT device for the duration of the call.
Only phones embedded with new software provided by Kodiak Networks can initiate such calls, but they can use wireless voice network to make a PTT call to anyone regardless of whether the recipient's cell phone has the special software or not.

Seems like a cool idea. I wonder how easy it will be for the recipient will know what to do when they receive a PTT call on their non-PTT phone.
