Learn your new phone before you leave the store.

How well do you know your phone?

Since the introduction on September 9 of Sprint's "ReadyNow" program (http://readynow.sprint.com/?id9=vanity:readynow) several blogs have addressed the need for services like this. According to an Opinion Research survey, a primary reason for smartphone return rates over 20% is not understanding how to set up the product in the first place.

Our own Survey of User Needs reflect frustration with the increasing complexity of wireless products:

"I have trouble remembering how to use the different functions of my cell phone."
"I have confusion in setting up and maintaining options and service."
"I don't have the memory to remember the ‘tricks’."

You can read our full survey report at: http://www.wirelessrerc.org/publications/first-report-findings-of-the-survey-of-user-needs-sun

Have you tried Sprint's ReadyNow program? Does your provider offer a similar service? What was it like learning to use your wireless phone? Would a ReadyNow type of support help you the next time you need a new phone?
