Speakerphone on the Nokia 6126

Posted by UserTester at February 25. 2008
Finding the speakerphone on the Nokia 6126 was somewhat difficult for me, although this was right on the softkey screen next to Menu. Once I discovered the speakerphone, it was effortless. I’ve never had a cellphone with a better speakerphone. Everyone we’ve called has said speakerphone quality is great! I can set it down on my bed, and the speaker and microphone are not blocked.

Here's an observation received from another user through the Wireless RERC's Survey of User Needs:

"Although I like these features a lot, they should not put buttons on the sides of the phone that are for functions like photo and speakerphone. They should put these buttons somewhere else so I don't hit them accidentally."

Also keep in mind that typing on number keypads varies in speed from phone to phone. I find, for example, that I can type faster on HTC phones (like the Cingular 3125) faster than on a Nokia, because of the variations in the predictive text features.

a good speakerphone can almost eliminate the need for a bluetooth headset.

I agree the one on the RERC 'study phone' was GREAT  and yes finding its ON button was a pain.   Jaime (my wife and another member here) wanted that phone... Its Speakerphone was a major contributor to that want.

Blackberry historically does a credible speakerphone function as well.
