iPhone as Wii-like game controller

We rarely write about games on this site. But let's face it, gaming represents a growing part of the wireless industry and user experience. Furthermore, gaming can have positive therapeutic effects for people of all types of abilities.

So, in this spirit, we cheerfully point our readers to a story reported on CNet News about the a new free "app" called iFun that converts your iPhone into a Wii-like game controller. Once installed and activated your iPhone becomes a "Wii-mote" that connects via Wi-Fi or cellular network to your PC.

The cool thing, according to CNet News, is that using the iPhone Wiimote lets you play against friends remotely and in real time.
