Two new Amazon Kindles on the way?

Rumors and reports are swirling lately that Amazon.com is planning not one, but two new versions of its hot selling Kindle book reader.

The latest round of internet buzz was started last Friday when a couple of additional unconfirmed details were floated on the Web, including the possibility of a larger model (the current one measures 7.5 x 5.3 inches, with a 6 inch diagonally measured display. The other new version would have the same dimensions as the current Kindle, but with better controls, which reportedly have generated some dissatisfaction by users.

One of the new models reportedly will be oriented toward colleged students, but no details were provided.

The Kindle provides access to hundreds of best selling books and free wireless access to newspapers. And, it can receive email with attached documents that can be opened and read.
